food for the eyes...

Products tried and tested....

LASHFOODTM Eyelash Conditioner has got my vote! After a few weeks of trying the natural eyelash lengthening product, I have noticed thicker and more luscious lashes... with less mascara needed!

Currently, there are a lot of products on the market promising longer, darker, and thicker lashes, however to find a natural, and seemingly green product, formulated with the "breakthrough natural formula of Biotin (essential vitamins), Arginine (Natural Amino Acids) and Iris Extract (Natural Oriental Medicine Complex Extracts)" that promotes the healthy growth of lashes, I think you may want to skip the rest out there, and try LASHFOODTM .

How does it work?
Applying it is mess-free and SUPER simple!
LASHFOODTM should be used twice a day, and applyed as a liquid eyeliner. The product is clear, so it is mistake free -- I suggest applying it in the morning after washing your face, and at night after removing all of your makeup and.

"Is LASHFOODTM FDA approved?
LASHFOODTM is a registered product of the FDA. LASHFOODTM only uses natural ingredients that provide you with incredible results: thicker, darker, longer, more beautiful lashes!"

Want something fun to do, that is also cost effective? Well guys (and ladies), gear up for Football season by taking in a couple Arena Football games! I attended a game in my area not too long ago, and had a blast! The tickets are not expensive, the refreshments are well priced and you will be entertained for Four 15-minute quarters. Now, the game is played a little differently than your typical NFL game - you will notice immediately that the field is shorter and the goalposts /"uprights" are terribly smaller, making the kicker really focus! However, you will still get your flipping quarterbacks, fantastic runs and trash talking on the field -- I mean, this IS football!

outdoors fun...

Are you an outdoors fan? Well, I have the place for you! The USNWC!! The What? The US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. From whitewater rafting and kayaking to mountain biking, hiking, a ropes course and zip lines--the USNWC is the ideal place for weekend warriors, casual observers and Olympic-caliber athletes alike. Whether you want to play hard or relax on the river's edge, the USNWC is dedicated to providing a place that promotes healthy, active, outdoor lifestyles.

This place is so much fun, words cannot even describe. I am a beginner when it comes to majority of things extreme and outdoors - however, I even fit right in to the USNWC. Get Wet, Get Set and Go down the roaring rapids that World-Wide Olympic athletes did test runs on, for 2008 Summer Games... I did!

Or... Try the new Ziplines that just opened!

Mega Zipline: Now Open! Come zip on one of our four 1,123 foot long ziplines stretched over ourworld class whitewater rapids. The Mega Zipline adventure will make your heart race as you get an eagles view flying over the largest expanse of water at the Whitewater Center. Check the web calendar or call for availability.

Weight Requirements: 90-250 pounds

On Certain nights in the spring and summer, the restaurant on the property, River's Edge Bar & Grill, has live music and dancing right around the water... This is a great place for 20's and groups to get together to party all day and night long!

I definitely recommend it!

How to take care of your... EYEBROWS - MEN & WOMEN!

One of the most important and often overlooked features of the face is the eyebrow. They are the key to framing the eyes, creating definition for the face, and highlighting the eye area. Eyebrows are very easy to change, and can really make a difference in a person’s looks - without any kind of surgery or injections! Following is a basic guideline for how to shape eyebrows.

Imagine drawing 3 dots as your reference points that you will later connect to fill in your eyebrow shape. The first dot, or starting point of the eyebrow, would be above the inner corner of the eye. The second dot will be placed slightly higher, and if you are looking straight ahead in the mirror this dot will go just to the outside of the iris. Whether you are doing this on yourself or on someone else, be sure the person is looking straight ahead or the placement of the arch will be off. The third dot, or outside ending point of the brow, will be at the same height as the first dot (lower than the middle dot). To determine the ideal placement for this, hold a straight edge (an eyeliner or makeup brush works well), and connect it from the bottom outside corner of your nose to the outside corner of your eye. Where the line ends in the brow area is how far the brow should come out (and where the third dot would be placed). A surprising amount of women’s eyebrows do not extend as far as they could for optimal effect. Adding this little amount can improve the shape of the brows, and really define the eye area.

Brows may be filled in using light pencil strokes, a powder (i.e. eye shadow or brow color), or a brow groomer, which may come in a tube with a wand that looks like mascara. My favorite is using a powder for a soft, natural look. A wax or gel may be used to tame unruly hairs. When choosing a color, most people think you should match your hair color; however, it is best to choose a somewhat lighter shade. If you match your hair color, often the brows will appear too dark, fake, or drawn in. A slightly lighter shade will create a more natural look.

FOR MEN:
A funny thing seems to happen as we age…women tend to loose hair in the eyebrow area, and men’s seem to grow thicker and more unruly! So, men: we appreciate it if you (or your hairdresser/barber/significant other) keep an eye on these and perform a little grooming. A little trim goes a long way to giving you a neat and polished appearance! Also, going grey? A little hair dye can be added to your brows if you also color your hair. Again, be careful not to go too dark, and NEVER get it in your eyes. This might be best left to a professional.

PERSONAL NOTE:
Now, the brow shaping above is meant to be a guideline for what is currently and generally considered appealing. Keep in mind that bone structure and face shape vary from person to person, and adjustments may need to be made. All faces are different and each carries its own unique beauty. If there is one thing we can learn by looking at the history of the eyebrow in fashion, it is that our perceptions of beauty change and are strongly influenced by what is popular at the time. Compare the shaved off, pencil-thin, drawn in eyebrows of the 1920’s to the Brooke Shields look of the ‘80’s -- Quite a big difference! It just goes to show that beauty is a perception that changes over time, and varies from person to person as well.

The "Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizer SPF 6" by Korres is my number 1, *new* favorite skin product. make it work, project runway: 6...

Project Runway Finally Sews Up TV Return!!!

Have you missed your H.Klum casting off hopeful, up-and-coming, fierce designers with her famed "auf wiedersehen" and double kiss? Well, I sure have! After Many months of waiting to find out the results of PR: Season 6 TV's life -- we have a verdict: YES - IT WILL AIR!

"One day you're in, the next you're out. Luckily for Lifetime, it works the other way around, too.

After far too many months of empty DVRs for the Project Runway-watching faithful, the battling parties holding up the return of the hit reality series have finally found a way to make it work.

"NBC Universal, the Weinstein Company and Lifetime have resolved their disputes," reads a statement from NBC Universal.

"The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome."

None more so than the sartorial-loving viewers who have been deprived of Runway for nigh on six months—an eternity in both the fashion and television worlds.

The already-completed Los Angeles-set sixth season, featuring stars Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, will begin airing this summer.

The deal guarantees that Project Runway will remain on Lifetime for the next five years and paves the way for the show's spinoff series, Models of the Runway, to begin airing as well.

"I want to personally congratulate Jeff Zucker and NBCU on their success in the litigation and thank Jeff for resolving this in a professional manner," Runway executive producer Harvey Weinstein said.

"We look forward to working together on our ongoing projects."

Lifetime originally planned to roll out the new cycle back in November, a month after Bravo said auf wiedersehen to the series by crowning fifth-season winner Leanne Marshall.

However, legal complications—injunctions, motions to dismiss, you name it—pushed back the season's debut date to January, which also came and went.

So confident that the show would, in Gunn's words, carry on, producers relented and allowed the season's three finalists, originally expected to show their final collections last fall, to send their designs down the runway during New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park back in February. To keep what suspense remained in tact, the designers' identities were kept secret and they never appeared onstage.

"All of us at Lifetime are thrilled to move forward with Heidi, Tim, Nina, Michael, the Weinstein Company and the entire Project Runway team," Lifetime CEO Andrea Wong said.

"I couldn't be more excited that Lifetime will bring its viewers an amazing, all-new season of Project Runway this summer."

Christina Aguilera, Eva Longoria Parker
and Rebecca Romijn have already filmed guest judge spots for the season.

Last fall, Lifetime said that, once back on air, the show was expected to resume its pre-network-jumping schedule of two seasons per year."

Now, we have a show... but are you dressing Project Runway appropriate meantime? Famed chaperon to the designers, Tim Gunn has created his own little list of perfect and essential items that every women must have in her closet... So, Before the show airs, clean out your closet and update!

2. Trench Coat

3. Dress Pants

eye-opening...

I am really big on making your eyes the focus on your face. Being introduced to great products however, is the first way to get the lash-fantastic way to be noticed! Here are some of my personal favorites to get that eye-popping look.

1. Revlon Eyelash Curler - Professional, $3.99

I adore this eyelash curler - it works beautifully... and even better than some of the more expensive curlers. I have tried the cult favorite Shu Uemura eyelash curler - and wasn't as impressed as I was with the iconic Revlon drugstore brand. Sometimes designer isn't always better. I'd go with Walgreen's this time...

2. "Waterproof" DiorShow Mascara by Christian Dior, $24

I firmly believe "you get what you pay for" and this time you definitely get what you pay for when you purchase DiorShow! The cat-walk eye makeup takes you to another lash level after you apply this great black ink.

3. Maybelline Waterproof Liquid Liner, $5.39

Maybelline's Waterproof Liquid Liner in Black is a solid score when it comes to a liner with depth in color pigment and application ease. Felt tip, All day wear, Contact lens safe, Hypoallergenic, Safe for sensitive eyes, Flexible tip for mistake proof control, and Glides on without smudging or smearing are just some of the liner's great points. I have wore this liner for years and wouldn't wear any other product.

Have you tried any of these products? Comment about your experiences or recommend other products that you love.

The motto of the TanTowel® is: Look Good Naked -- Why would you use those other formulas that streak, turn you orange, and stain your clothes? When you know you have a little towelette that will do the trick without all the gimmicks? TanTowel® has a full line of products that will give you the perfect sunless tan and maintain that healthy glow all year round! However, I recommend you getting started with TanTowel®. The most simple way to look bronze within a few hours, while saving your skin!

A little towelette that is covered with the sunless tanning product, comes in a tiny package that is discrete and can be thrown into a carry-on bag and even a purse. There are 3 shades for 3 different types/colors of skin - works for everyone. I have used the medium skin tone ones and personally recommend using 2 packets for great coverage on your entire body - one is perfect for your legs.
